Continuing our coverage of the Cork Midsummer Festival we have composer, musician and conductor John O Brien, wwho spoke to Conor Tallon about “Dances for The City in a Time of Angst” - a brand new work commissioned by the Cork Midsummer Festival.

Another fantastic fundraiser incorporating the arts is a big Picnic in Currabeg Garden Nursery in Ovens . This time it’s raising funds for LauraLynn and Dominick Cullinane tells Conor Tallon what groups are performing on the day. 

The European Doctors’ Orchestra comes to play in City Hall on June 28th in a concert which has been 2 years in the organising! It’s all in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and I spoke to one of the doctors, Cork’s Daniel Lehane.
