Kinsale Samhain Festival
Well everyone knows Halloween is October 31st, and it's sparked a whole series of amazing Halloween themed events. Like the Banshee Walk in Bandon on Friday nigh October 27th, which starts on South Main Street in the town at 7pm. There's music from the Fresh Air Collective, and a Fireshow from Rogu then at 7.30 up at the Shambles!
Leap Scarecrow Festival also gets underway in earnest with everything from Witches Wheelbarrow Races to Scary Movies, Broomstick making workshops, and judging for all the scarecrows you can see as you go through the village. The Ballydehob Jazz Festival 2023 Samhain Parade is on 6pm SUNDAY 29th October 2023 in Ballydehob Village. The parade theme is ‘Away With The Birds’…all masks, costumes, creatures have been made in the village.. All welcome to come along, dress up and take flight and then there’s an After The Parade Party in Levis..
And this year Kinsale is bringing lots of events together in its inaugural Samhain Festival, so Elmarie rang Yvonne Coughlan of RSVP productions to find out all about it.
