    As people of the Mediterranean, the sea connected us, enabling cultural exchanges and travel. From the 19th to the early 20th century, many Maltese emigrated to Tunisia, Morocco, and Libya. Today, their descendants still carry Maltese traditions. This memory-sharing session, in collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv and Art Explora, invited people to discuss Maltese emigration to North Africa, Gibraltar, the Middle East, Italy, France, and beyond. The recording captures insightful discussions and presentations addressing the urgent challenges facing our oceans.Intertide by Renzo Spiteri, sound artist, composer and percussionist. ‘Intertide’ is an immersive black and white video work capturing the profound connection between the artist and the sea.It Isn't Easy, But It Is by Mariana Hahn, visual artist of the Franco-German pavilion. ‘It isn’t easy but it is’ is a research project in China to track the remains of a late Chinese sisterhood created in the 18th century.
