The Aligned Self Podcast
A Self Assessment to Uncover Hidden Issues
In this episode, Daniel addresses or rings to light two questions asked by you, podcast listeners. He announces coming up in about 4 episodes is his first podcast guest on The Aligned Self, Kimberly D'Neuville to speak on clearing detrimental energy from your house or your environment.. Most people are completely unaware of the impact of energy of their living space. Secondly in this episode, Daniel does a deep dive on subpersonalities at the request of Anita on how to identify the characteristics or patterns of a subpersonality? How can we identify that there may be a problem with our different parts getting along?
In response Daniel covers 12 phenomena,or characteristics of inner conflict and misaligned inner intentions.
SUBPERSONALITY: As we develop our self concept, we do so somewhat haphazardly incrementally over time, belief by belief, responding to a variety of situations, challenges, and traumas. As we do, our self concept often splinters off into different personas to handle the challenges of life and growing up. Left unchecked many people can exist with different aspects taking over and sharing space from time to time, but sometimes we have a part that overrides seemingly productive intentions and we have the feeling of self-sabotage, inner conflict... part of me want s to d this and parts of me wants to do that.
We're left with the feeling of helplessness, or that somehow we are broken, lazy, defective, or some other less than desirable attribute.
So here a list of the different behavioral patterns that indicate that there is a problematic relationship with your subpersonalities:
Inconsistent Behaviors
Inner Conflicts
Inner Critic-Negative Self Talk
Mood Swings
Self-Sabotage
Amnesia or memory Gaps/Lost Time
Emotional Triggers
Conflicting beliefs
