That's What I Heard

A very very emotional farewell from Sean, Carly and even Producer Ian. All good things must come to an end, and after nearly 30 episodes of the Podcast, That’s What I Heard has reached it’s conclusion as Sean jets off to Oz. In this very special edition expect all the usual madness of sex stories, relationship dilemmas and plenty of tears. 

Ciara Ryan, AKA Painted By Ciara, joins Sean and Carly this week to speak about her life as one of Ireland’s most well known MUA’s. Like Sean, Ciara rose to prominence during covid, and saw her following grow steadily ever since. She is hilarious, and is a natural storyteller, as we delve into some of her worst recent experiences with men among many other things. Sean also goes into more detail about what his plans are for his impending Australia relocation… 

Sean shares a massive life update in this week’s episode, as he speaks about the end result of months of soul searching. Not just that, the guys share all the details since their summer break, and Carly’s London trip earlier in the month…This is one not to miss…

While we're on our break, we thought we'd keep up the TWIH rewind, if you're a new listener, here's what you need to know about this weeks throwback guest: Thommas is writer and actor from Dublin’s inner city who has appeared in Derry Girls, Kin and Darklands to name a few. He speaks about how the arts can often be a marginalising place for the working class, and he overcame being pigeonholed by both his background and sexuality. Thomas is as articulate as he is funny, and delves deep into how his routes formed him, and how so often “hurt people hurt”.

Sean and Carly are joined in the studio by the incredible Marcus Cowzer, a therapist and overall beautiful human being, who is here to give the guys a crash course in therapy and minding your mental health. Marcus was inspired to get into therapy after a difficult bereavement following the loss of his father. He speaks to the guys about some of the changes he has made in recent years, and gives some very inspirational advice throughout the episode. 

Sean Carly and Producer Ian have all come down with various bangs, bugs and bruises this week, so we are taking a short unplanned break to bring you one of our favourite episodes. Paige Behan is a trans intersex woman with a fascinating story and beautiful outlook on life. Normal episodes continue next Tuesday.
