    In this extra special episode we are joined by the lovely Anders Mielke! We get to interview the man who interviews the pro riders at cycling races, including the Tour de France. Anders is a wonderful storyteller and takes us into the world of Pro Cycling, including his own journey from junior cyclist to creating his own podcast and becoming an established journalist working for Eurosport and TNT Sports.He tells us about his unique connection with many of the riders including his friendship with Mads Pederson. We ask about filming 'Chasing Cobbles', a TV series (2025) which he produced and directed about Mad's pursuit to win one of the cycling worlds greatest accolades - a Monument cycling race.We reflect on riders becoming pro at increasingly younger ages and the challenges this can bring. We also find out which bike race is his favourite and which bike racers he likes to interview, along with many more gems.In an honest and heart centred conversation we get a glimpse into Ander's life and his passion for cycling. He brings wisdom and a fabulous wry humour, we both agree he is as genuine in real life as he is on the TV. It is clear why he has become so well liked by fans and riders alike.We recorded this episode in December (took a while!) when Anders was in off-season. We had so much fun hanging with Anders and though Albie was nervous, he enjoyed his first big interview. Enjoy!'Chasing Cobbles' (co-filmed with Johnnes T. • 1. It's not all cycling. It b***** is!

    30:05||Season 1, Ep. 1
    Welcome to our first episode!We introduce a bit about us and why we are doing this podcast. It also features our wild and at times chaotic trip to watch the Tour De France in Carcassonne and includes Albie’s first ever on-the-ground interview. Not what either of us expected! Once home, we reflect on the Tour and also what is to come in our next episode. We are assuming listeners will also be fans of pro-cycling as there is little explanation of who everyone is at the race, context will come in later episodes. Maybe. Hope you enjoy!
