What is it REALLY like working behind the scenes on a Metallica show?
In this episode of That Sound Podcast, I sit down with Jules Davies, an English live-production crew member who has spent the last couple of years working on Metallica's M72 World Tour.
Jules works behind the cameras during Metallica's huge stadium shows, operating cameras from the production towers and helping with the massive LED screens and visual production that make the M72 Tour such an incredible live experience.
But Jules' journey to Metallica didn't happen overnight.
We go right back to the beginning and talk about how Jules got into the live music industry, the artists and productions he's worked on along the way, including Ed Sheeran and Bon Jovi, and how he eventually found himself working behind the scenes with one of the biggest bands in the world.
