That Engineering Chat
Gary Livingstone, owner of LG Motion, Minitec UK, and Precision Acoustics
In this week’s episode of That Engineering Chat, Nicole is joined by Gary Livingstone, owner of LG Motion, Minitec UK, and Precision Acoustics. Gary and Nicole’s conversation is framed around restructuring companies for a post-pandemic world, as we are all currently in a position that no one expected to be in. Gary shares that there seems to have been a radical shift of mindset within the industry, as technology costs have come down, habits have changed due to the pandemic which has all resulted in an increase in innovation. There is now little need for people within the engineering industry to be doing mundane jobs, as these can now be automated. Gary believes that the pandemic has been good for change within businesses, although having to adapt to long lead times isn’t necessarily the change people would like! Nicole and Gary have a very informative conversation about the need for businesses to adapt and change in the new normal. If you would like to hear more from Gary, you can find him on LinkedIn.
