    FLOWING WEAVER OF WORDS AND WORLDS - At the age of 82, Jean Naggar published her first novel. Join me as we discuss her journey from Editor to Writer. Jean Naggar is an accomplished writer, editor and translator. She established the Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency in 1978 in NYC. She has been responsible for selling a wide range of award-winning titles and best selling books in both Fiction and Non-Fiction. She is a member of the International Women's Forum, the Women's Media Group, PEN and AAR- Association of Authors Representatives. Jean is originally from Alexandria, Egypt and grew up in Cairo. She and her family left Egypt in 1957 following the Suez Canal Crisis. Her first published novel is a memoir, SIPPING FROM THE NILE, and her second book is FOOTPRINTS FROM THE HEART, a novel. Her themes of dealing with leaving one's country for good epitomizes the immigrant experience and shows how determination and persistence can lead to success and happiness. She is a true role model for those of us who may think we are too old to start on that long awaited dream. Her work is in the collection of the Petrified Forest, Arizona, where she was an Artist-in-Residence. Most recently she exhibited in Across the Delaware at the Cooperage and Art in Sixes at Delaware Valley Arts Alliance. She works in oil, gouache, watercolor and collage in genres ranging from urban streets and pizzas and rural landscapes to still life, portrait and figure paintings.
