Jannik Sinner is your Wimbledon men’s champion! In a rematch of their Roland Garros epic, the Italian defeated the defending champion Carlos Alcaraz to capture the title for the first time. Day 10 at Wimbledon 2025 delivered thrilling quarterfinal action across the men’s and women’s singles draws. In the men’s quarterfinals, Novak Djokovic overcame a brief scare after slipping on match point to defeat Flavio Cobolli in four sets, 6-7, 6-2, 7-5, 6-4, earning his 14th Wimbledon semifinal appearance. Jannik Sinner, in commanding form despite earlier elbow issues, dispatched Ben Shelton 7-6, 6-4, 6-4 to set up a blockbuster semifinal against Djokovic. Novak Djokovic clawed back from a 1–6 opening set to defeat Alex de Minaur in four, sustaining his run toward a record 25th Major. Jannik Sinner, despite trailing two sets, advanced after Grigor Dimitrov heartbreakingly retired with a pectoral injury—a win Sinner called bittersweet. Meanwhile, Ben Shelton and Italy’s Flavio Cobolli secured their first-ever quarter-final spots with impressive victories over Lorenzo Sonego and Marin Čilić.On the women’s side, Belinda Bencic made a strong post-maternity return by upsetting seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova, Mirra Andreeva became the youngest quarter-finalist since 2007 with a compelling win over Emma Navarro, and Iga Świątek continued cruising past a below-par Clara Tauson. Day 7 of Wimbledon and the quarterfinals are shaping up with Carlos Alcaraz defeating Andrey Rublev to extend his unbeaten run at Wimbledon to 18. He will face another tough test in Cam Norrie who won an epic in possibly the match of the championships against Nicolas Jarry in 5 sets on Court One. Needless to say home hope Cam will have to trade his favourite court one for Centre court to face the two time defending Champion in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. Also making it through to the quarterfinals stage is Karen Khachanov and Taylor Fritz. Fritz playing just 10 games before Jordan Thompson was forced to retire through injury. Fritz will be hoping to go one better and make the Wimbledon semifinals after bowing out at this stage last year to Lorenzo Musetti. On the women’s side, it is still very possible that another American woman might pick up a grand slam title after Amanda Anisimova set up match against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova who dashed British hopes by defeating Sonay Kartal despite the line calling system going down and going against the more seasoned competitor. World Number 1, Aryna Sabalenka who took out her former doubles partner Elise Mertens in round 4 and will face veteran Laura Siegemund in the quarters.
