El Robot Tesla Bot es el Humanoide amigable de Elon Musk. Tú que opinas al respecto., crees que sea un robot amigable?
El CEO de Tesla, Elon Musk, dice que la compañía está trabajando en la fabricación de robots humanoides y que planea tener un prototipo funcional listo para lucirse "en algún momento del próximo año".
Según The Verge, Musk buscó disipar los temores diciendo que el robot fue diseñado para ser "amigable", lo que probablemente no hará nada para persuadir a la gente de que nos estamos acercando de manera preocupante a los Terminators.
Musk, quien ha hablado repetidamente sobre sus temores de una inteligencia artificial desbocada, dijo que el Tesla Bot está "destinado a ser amigable", pero que la compañía está diseñando la máquina a un "nivel mecánico" para que "puedas huir de ella, y lo más probable es que lo domine".
Tendrá cinco pies, ocho pulgadas de alto, pesará 125 libras y tendrá una pantalla por cara. El nombre en clave del bot dentro de la empresa es "Optimus", según contó Elon Musk.
Tesla dice que los robots estarán diseñados para "tareas que son inseguras, repetitivas o aburridas", ya que esa es toda la información que vamos a obtener por ahora.
Tesla tiene un historial de idear ideas de pastel en el cielo como esta, y aunque algunas de ellas no salen bien, es justo decir que otras sí. Ya veremos si la idea del robot humanoide tendrá tracción o no.
Una cosa es segura: dado el historial de Tesla de no cumplir con los plazos, "en algún momento del próximo año" parece muy optimista en este momento.
