Tell Me More 2 - 'What do you prefer to do anonymously?'

Season 1, Ep. 2

After a long wait, here is episode 2 of the Tell Me More Cards podcast. I am delighted to share with you another curious conversation, where we get straight down to business talking about deeper stuff than your average bus stop conversation! The question sends us pretty quickly into some big philosophical subject matters, swims around there for a while & then finishes off with a great personal story, which may leave you contemplating the funny side of anonymity.

This time the conversation is conducted online rather than face to face, which presented some new challenges technical & conversationally, as I'm sure you can guess. Always curious to learn new things, I've given it my best shot & I'm hoping you will relate & enjoy what you hear.

Please remember, I have two decks of Tell Me More cards for sale, the original deck which is 52 questions on playing card sized cards, and the elders deck which is 78 questions on tarot sized cards. These are printed in the UK near my home town of Manchester & are created entirely by me. No grants or no funding, just me making it happen. You can contact me by going to www.tellmemorecards.co.uk & filling out the contact form there for more information, including the opportunity to join my online Deep Question UK facebook group.

Thanks for listening!

  • 6. Tell Me More 6 - Who can you trust to take care of things?

    42:01||Season 1, Ep. 6
    Today I am so pleased to share with you this lovely, warm, thoughtful conversation with a fellow deep thinker. This time we are in the flesh, sharing space in my snug rather than online, which was a refreshing change & a heart-warming experience [also a bit of a technical learning curve, hopefully you won't notice the few blips. I know which mic I will not be using again!] The question for this episode, drawn from my deck of Tell Me More cards, can be a little tricky for some to answer. Yet as we explore questions like this further we find more questions beneath the question & the process flows ever onward if we stay open to the curious enquiry. One thing I love & wish to share through these curious conversations is a concept first made familiar to me by Gay & Katie Hendricks, the concept of unarguable truths. This is a concept that really helps me to stay curious, stay positive & avoid the disempowerment of blame-based language. Check out their wonderful work online to dive deeper into this concept.Please support me in continuing this work by purchasing a deck of my curious question cards & sharing this podcast. I have the original Tell Me More cards deck, the Elders deck [gorgeous, gentle conversations for all age groups] and if you're lucky I have a few copes left of my original prototype deck too! Plus, I'm always keen to hear what you think of these gentle, enquiring conversations - feel free to get in touch with me via my website at any time.Peace all,Cathiewww.tellmemorecards.co.uk
  • 5. Tell Me More 5 - When are you most forceful?

    33:46||Season 1, Ep. 5
    Welcome to the Tell Me More Cards podcast. I really hope you enjoy this episode where we delve into the minefield of 'force'. How do you feel about this question? What would your response be? Does it bring up any issues for you? Would you be comfortable grappling with these issues in a live podcast? Well, that's what my wonderful guest in this episode has dared to do. Receiving the question just 30minutes before we start recording, answers are raw, honest, vulnerable & real. That's what these deep conversations are all about. There is beauty in these moments of honest reflection & consideration. Listen & I trust you will hear & feel it too. Peace, Cathie
  • 4. Tell Me More 4 - 'How do you serve?'

    28:20||Season 1, Ep. 4
    This episode was recorded the night before Halloween, with heavy rain & winds howling. This episodes question takes us to some vulnerable places, as my guest touches on the politics, emotions, semantics & boundaries raised by the concept of Serving. Grab a drink, get your headphones on & settle down for a gorgeous, meaningful conversation that takes us right to the heart of what it means to be human... If you'd like to dive into more deep questions with myself & hundreds of other big-hearted souls online, you can join my facebook group. • 3. Tell Me More 3 - 'What unusual things have you been inside?'

    27:19||Season 1, Ep. 3
    Welcome to episode 3 of the Tell Me More Cards podcast. Todays question is possibly the most sniggered-at question in the entire deck of cards. [get your mind out of the gutter!] but none the less, there is plenty of curious inquiry to be had here; This conversation leads us from comedy, to tragedy, and back again. In this episode I am chatting with a fellow member of my facebook group 'Deep Questions UK', an online discussion group I have been running for over 13 years. In the last few years, the production of social question cards has become increasingly popular & a number of quite famous people have sold out their question cards in a matter of days. Meanwhile, here at Tell Me More, it's just me. Cathie. I produced the cards ethically in the UK, near Manchester, in 2017. I had a prototype on sale from 2015 & back in 2010 I had a much loved handwritten deck! I alone created & researched the progressively production of my Tell Me More cards deck questions and my Elders deck, designing the packaging, & basically doing it all. I am a solo, independent, totally unfunded artist. If you are curious enough to invest £15 in a deck of my Tell Me More cards, [52 playing card sized questions] or £25 in a deck of Elders cards [78 large, elders inclusive questions] please go to www.tellmemorecards.co.uk & get in touch to arrange delivery. Everyone loves the cards! And I can't tell you how much I will appreciate your support... Peace, Cathie
  • 1. Tell Me More 1 - 'What have you learnt the easy way?'

    45:47||Season 1, Ep. 1
    I’m very excited to share with you the first ever Tell Me More podcast. Over the next 45minutes or so we will dive deep into a question from the original Tell Me More cards deck. Tell Me More cards are a deck of question cards, similar to playing cards & created by myself, your host, Cathie. But unlike playing cards, instead of suits, each card contains a curious, open questions. Tell Me More cards have been used by people in myriad ways, from schools, to therapy sessions, in youth clubs, by friends, at Christmas, with strangers, in writing groups, and even as a solo mindfulness journaling endeavor. The feedback received is consistently positive. People love to listen to real, authentic stories & share meaningfully with other people. So I became curious about sharing some of these conversations with others, giving you an inside peek into the places that just one Tell Me More card question can take us. Each interviewee will have the choice whether to reveal their identity or not. I will be facilitating the conversation to encourage curious exploration of my guests' various responses to the question, as we meander through the different subjects & feelings that arise. And in keeping with the Tell Me More cards philosophy, they can choose at every step of the journey whether to “tell me more”… or not. Please show your support for the show by sharing this episode & following Tell Me More podcasts. You can also show your support for independent artists like me by buy your very own deck of environmentally & ethically produced Tell Me More cards by going to www.tellmemorecards.co.uk.
