200 Properties in 2.5 years, a £10.5m portfolio and £6m GDV in Conversions with Alex & Laurie

Real Estate Wealth Development was started by Alex and Laurie Duncan back in 2018.
In the last 2 and a half years the company has scaled massively, here are some of our highlights:
- We have now built our BTL portfolio to around 200 properties. Total assets now at £10.5M
- We now mainly focus on buying portfolios from other investors.
- We have a Commercial 2 Resi Development company with 5 projects ongoing – total GDV £6M (all aimed at regeneration of Falkirk High Street – our home town)
- This year we launched a Building company (REWD Building Co) which is set to turnover around £1.5M in its first year (only doing REWD Group work currently)
- We also launched a training business this year and just completed our first sold out “REWD Pro” event – BTL at massive scale, rapidly.
Our company is build on the mission of creating generational wealth for our key stakeholders by solving some of the most fundamental issues in the UK housing market:
- A lack of available housing
- Estimated 1 million empty homes
- Underutilised commercial property, deserted high streets and large retailers shutting up shop.
- Increasing demand for quality rental accommodation.
Having a clear mission and treating BTL like a business we have managed to scale very quickly. Systems and process have been key to our development and Laurie and I both stick rigidly to our true value add as investors – negotiating deals and finding finance – everything else is systemised.
