Mark Pougatch talks to Scottish-Colombian jewellery designer, Catherine Zoraida, about the story behind her latest jewellery collection – Colombiana – a deeply personal and evocative tribute to her birthplace and ancestral roots. Born in Bogota but abandoned on a bus by her mother, Catherine was adopted by Scottish parents and brought up in Dunblane. Catherine’s Colombian roots have inspired her new jewellery collection drawing on its biodiversity, geology and cultural richness. Following a genealogy test that revealed she is 54% indigenous (in Colombia, indigenous heritage is a core part of national identity, not separate from it), Catherine experienced a profound reconnection with her heritage. Following Fr Edward Corbould’s death, we wanted to re-release the interview he did with Mark Pougatch in June 2023 to celebrate his 90th&nbsp;birthday. Fr Edward was a Benedictine monk at Ampleforth College and was its longest-serving housemaster, dedicating 36 years to St Edward’s house. He had an extraordinary capacity for compassion, kindness and friendship. In this audio memoir he talks about his childhood, his faith, prayer and his belief that “this life is transitory. The fulness of life awaits us. Once you accept that there is a peace that comes into your life.”

They realise they weren’t the only ones experiencing problems with the Horizon accounting system. There are heroes and villains in this story. Jo fights to clear her name and having done so, won’t rest until there’s compensation and justice for all involved in the Post Office scandal.&nbsp;

Mark Pougatch talks to former sub-postmistress, Jo Hamilton, a victim of the biggest miscarriage of justice in British judicial history. Played by Monica Dolan in the ITV hit drama series, MR BATES vs THE POST OFFICE, Jo is one of over 700 sub-postmasters and mistresses prosecuted between 2000 and 2014 for shortfalls in their accounts. Jo was persuaded to plead guilty to false accounting but her case should never have come to court. Here in part 1, Jo talks about how her nightmare unfolded. Noticing a shortfall in her accounts one night, she rang the Horizon helpdesk only for her deficit to double before her eyes. Soon she was in debt, facing prosecution from the Post Office and a possible jail sentence. Her village might have rallied round but her ordeal was only just beginning.
