United need an extra midfielder now they play three men in there again, and one might think that means a pretty regular run of game-time for Manuel Ugarte considering he's one of three senior midfielders the club have, but he continues to be linked with a move away on loan. There is no news on who will be named as caretaker, aside from some slight whispers which could mean nothing.

United are holding talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer today but may already have their eye on their permanent manager, with three national team managers linked to the club.

In 2020, Wayne Barton and Patrick Barclay recorded a radio series on Love Sport Radio which no longer operates. It was a 9 episode run looking at the history of United post-WW2, hosted by Matt Beadle with Paddy and Wayne in conversation.I found the shows and wanted to share them again as I'm really proud of the work I did with Paddy; I think these are entertaining and informative.
