Belichick Snubbed, Final Coaching Hires, NFL Honors & Super Bowl Picks
The Super Bowl is upon us!
Yes, the Splendidly Sexy Salaciously Slippery Super Bowl Extravaganza is here and the champions will soon be crowned. The guys are excited for the unexpected final game of the 2025 season. But first Schif has some news for us!
Bill Belichick got snubbed in his first year of HOF eligibility. How? Has there been a more qualified coach? Schif explains it all. The final coaching positions have been filled in a season that saw 10 new positions come open. Jon has thoughts on the topic. Then the guys discuss the NFL Honors and what new honors should be created if the NFL was a little more fun.
Then the guys discuss the journey of these two remarkable teams that will be suiting up for all the marbles. It's a wonderful story that's more than just a rematch of a classic game. These two teams are at the top while on the way up. Their fan bases should be excited about the near future. But we can't look too far ahead. We have a Flip 'Em & Pick 'Em score to settle, with just three points separating our hosts. The winner of this week's prediction will take home the trophy. This coin toss is VERY important. Enjoy!

1. 2026 Offseason: Trades, Crimes & Bears Relocating
01:04:36||Season 7, Ep. 1The 2026 Offseason has begun! The guys discuss the important offseason dates in this episode, but a lot of things have gone down since Super Bowl LX, so they're here with the deets. Apparently, NFL players are still committing crimes against women and the NFL doesn't seem to care about it. The guys aren't shocked at all. What would shock them is if the Bears were no longer in Chicago. Is it even legal to have a major sports league without a team in Chicago? The Seahawks are up for sale and Jon has a fresh idea on what the current owner should do in lieu of selling the team to some rich asshole. Speaking of assholes, if you mix up Snoop Dogg and Miles Garrett, does that make you an asshole? You'd at least be a contender for some brand of racist. And if you're a contender, then that means Derek Carr is willing to play for you this upcoming season. Who's looking for that? Yeah, this is a true SveNFL take on the league we all love. 60. SveNFL Super Bowl LX Reactions
44:31||Season 6, Ep. 60The 2025 Season is in the books! We now have our Super Bowl LX Champions. Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks and their fans on their beat down of the overmatched Patriots. The Seahawks defense put in a performance for the ages in order to hoist the Lombardi Trophy by the end of the night. Sam Darnold finally got some redemption and proved that maybe all he needed was a good situation around him.Mike Macdonald becomes one of the youngest coaches to ever win it all. K-9 got the MVP, but who else could have gotten it? Was this the Patriots' best chance at winning it all? Are other teams kicking themselves that the Patriots were the team representing the AFC? Was Drake Maye overmatched? Is the Patriots' roster more flawed than anyone suspected? The guys dig all the way in.The Halftime Show was fantastic, with Bad Bunny putting on a memorable performance. The guys discuss that performance as well as the alternate performance put on by some right-wing profiles and artists.Jon won the final Flip 'Em & Pick 'Em with his final selection of Seattle to win it all. Schif won the all-important petty asterisks. It's been another fin season. Enjoy!Music: Nils Landgren Funk Unit - Get Serious, Get A JobSupport this podcast at www.patreon.com/svenfl
58. SveNFL Conference Championship Round Reactions
41:28||Season 6, Ep. 58The Super Bowl teams have been decided!Yes, the Conference Championship games are over and the New England Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks in two weeks for all of the marbles! Congrats to fans of both teams. Obviously, Jon is bummed that his rival team is going to the big game (again), but you gotta love what Mike Vrabel has done with this team. The guys discuss the AFC Championship game that was, in all of its defensive glory. 10-7 is a low-scoring affair, no doubt. How did the Patriots pull it off? Did Sean Payton blow the game by not taking an easy field goal? Was his ego to blame? The NFC Championship game was way more exciting, with two familiar teams going at it. It came down to the wire, and the Sam Darnold-led Seahawks pulled it off. It's another example of a team making a quick turnaround. The Seattle fans must be proud of their organization. Schif is extra bummed that his team passed on both of the coaches that will be playing in the Super Bowl. Such is life.Listen in for the MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck Recipients. 56. SveNFL Divisional Round Reactions: To Bench, Or Not to Bench
01:00:55||Season 6, Ep. 56The Divisional Round is in the books!Jon & Schif get together to discuss the Divisional Round in all it's glory. The round that delivered a great game that ultimately resulted in a team moving on without their quarterback. Hopefully that Broncos defense can holdup in the next round. What's next for Buffalo? Are changes necessary? Is that franchise cursed? They'll be facing a Patriots team that beat a seemingly mentally shrunken C.J. Stroud who could not stop turning the ball over in a wild game that saw both teams with multiple mistakes. In the end, the Patriots came out on top and are now ready to compete against a short-handed Broncos team to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Is Jon bummed, YES! But that doesn't take away from the cool story of what can be an unmatched one-season redemption story. On the other side are the Seahawks, who look like an unstoppable buzz saw that made easy work of a hobbled 49ers team. K-9 and company look good on one side of the ball, while that defense looks outright menacing on the other side. The 49ers couldn't get anything going as their season sputtered to an end, letting us all get one more look at our NFC redemption king Mac Jones, who came in for all the wrong reasons. The Seahawks will be facing their division rival Rams, who almost let the Bears drop another miracle ending on them, if it weren't for Caleb Williams doing some typical Caleb Williams stuff (Schif has thoughts about this guy). The Bears shouldn't hang their heads, but should the Rams be worried? The guys hand out MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned, Speck and select Scariest Teams as well. 55. Mike Tomlin Resignation & Divisional Round Predictions
58:42||Season 6, Ep. 55The Deliciously Delightful Divisional Round is upon us!We're down to eight teams remaining in the quest for the championship trophy. But first, shock around the NFL, as Mike Tomlin decided to resign from coaching the Steelers. The guys discuss his strong legacy. What's next for him? What is a good destination for him? Are the Steelers an attractive destination? What about the other openings and coaching prospects? It's bound to be a crazy offseason with so many potential head coaches out there and so many teams needing a new leader. How is Zac Taylor the only AFC North coach to still be there? So many questions...Then the guys make their Flip 'Em & Piick 'Em picks for the divisional round. Jon even managed to use a petty asterisk. 53. SveNFL Wet & Wacky Wild Card Weekend Reactions
43:41||Season 6, Ep. 53The Wild Card Round is (almost) in the books! That's right, the Wet & Wacky Wild Card Round is almost over. Jon & Schif go through the games that have happened thus far in a week of fun action. Most of the games were within one score, just like they scripted it! The guys discuss the way everything went down in the debut weekend of playoff action that doesn't include Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson. Is this all a plan for the Buffalo Bills and Tony Romo's crush, Josh Allen? Are the Bears going to ever get respect from this podcast? Is Josh Allen going to make it to the end of the playoffs healthy? Are the Chargers' offensive linemen under arrest for attempted murder of Justin Herbert? The guys answer these questions and more in this playoff bonanza of an episode. Don't forget to listen in for the MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck Recipients.
