The Strand Group Podcast

On this podcast we bring some of the fun, anecdotes, gossip and a deeper understanding of government from our teaching and events at King's College London. Featuring our unique mix of practitioner and academic, this series will use contemporary history to take a deeper looking at our understanding of British Government and Politics.


The Strand Group at King’s College is a group devoted to learning about the hidden wiring of British government. We teach, research and put on events devoted to understanding the way government works through looking at contemporary history.


Martin Stolliday

Martin is the manager of The Strand Group at King's College London. As manager, Martin oversees all of the Strand Group’s operations and develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders. After studying for a Masters degree in Contemporary British History, Martin joined the Media Monitoring team in the Labour Party Press Office where he worked for 5 years, including two election campaigns, before joining the Strand Group in 2015.
