It feels like we say this almost every week, but it was another big weekend, so Musa and Ryan begin by shouting out Japan’s win in the Women’s Asian Cup final, before heading to Wembley.Pep Guardiola became the most successful manager in League Cup history, thanks to Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday (04:57). With huge results up and down the table, as well as a record broken in dramatic fashion, it felt like the biggest weekend in the Premier League season so far.Musa and Ryan chat about Arsenal’s win over Everton, where Max Dowman came on, changed the game and became the Premier League’s youngest ever goalscorer, in a late 2-0 win.It was made even more important due to West Ham and Manchester City’s 1-1 draw, which was a huge result for Nuno Espírito Santo, but a costly one for Pep Guardiola. The same scoreline happened at Anfield, where Spurs equalised late against Liverpool, to stop their losing streak.There's chat about Michael Carrick’s Manchester United, who bounced back with an impressive win over Aston Villa, before a quick bit on the week coming up for Arsenal and Manchester City. Musa’s on his travels, so there’s a bit of chat up top about him leaning into a Stadio bit. Then he and Ryan chat about this weekend’s FA Cup fifth round (07:17), which saw another amazing result for Port Vale, who knocked out Sunderland. There’s some important admin up top, but once that’s all out of the way, Musa and Ryan turn their attention to the Premier League title race once more after what felt like a very important few days.They begin with Arsenal’s 4-1 win at Spurs in the North London derby (03:53), which saw them maintain a five point lead at the top of the Premier League. The Derby d’Italia this weekend felt crucial in the race for this year’s Scudetto. Musa and Ryan chat about Inter leaving it late to beat Juventus (05:03), who were down to ten for the entire second half at San Siro, after a very controversial second yellow for Pierre Kalulu. Apologies for the late show today, but we’re finally here to chat all about another big weekend in the Premier League title race, which saw Manchester City come from behind to win away at Liverpool, for only the second time under Pep Guardiola. After shout outs for the WSL, PSG v Marseille and a few other results (04:21), Musa and Ryan head to Anfield (11:23), which saw another unbelievable free-kick from Dominik Szoboszlai give Liverpool the lead, a great comeback and the world being cruelly robbed of one of the silliest goals of the modern era.That meant the gap was the same at the top as before the weekend, following Arsenal’s impressive 3-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday (30:52). Elsewhere, Aston Villa dropped more points, Manchester United may never lose again, Crystal Palace ended their winless streak and Cole Palmer scored another first half hat-trick.In Germany, Bayern and Dortmund teased a title race (48:13) and St. Pauli got a much needed win. Musa and Ryan begin this week with a huge game in the WSL, where Manchester City opened up an 11-point gap at the top after their 5-1 win over Chelsea.
