Todays guest is Hayley lever from GM Moving and CEO of Greater Sport. In her own words hayley says she has a simple plan. It is Move. Every day. Inspire and enable others to do the same. Smile. Adventure. Have fun. Be the change you want to see in the world (quoting M.Ghandi of course ). She says She's driven by a huge belief in the role physical activity and sport can play in our health, wellbeing and happiness. She says Her work is a passion. How lucky am I? She says Working to get Greater Manchester Moving, and helping as a volunteer to build happier lives where I live, are two very rewarding roles. She loves to run, wild swim, cycle, play sport, adventure and travel, especially with her husband and three awesome girls. In her view, free time is best spent in the outdoors having fun with family and friends. Shopping centres are to be avoided. She prefers to spend her days making memories to last a lifetime. So I think we get the picture. But just as importantly Hayley is one of the best thinkers and writers in the sector on the changes we need to make across the system to create movement across our society as you will hear from our chat today.
I talk to Nick Pontefract and Naomi Shearon from Sport England about the delivery of the new Sport England strategy and what differences we expect to see in the way the sector tackles the emphasis on tackling inequality.
