What was supposed to be a quick trip down memory lane planted a seed for another life changing conversation about the constant search for light when things look dark. Ange and I met in Australia when I was nearing the end of the <a href="/post/areyoumywife" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">AreYouMyWife journey</a>, and by then I was already smitten with someone back in the UK who eventually became my wife. We stayed in infrequent touch for many years after, then when I wanted to do a<a href="/post/ep-36-flashbacks-from-are-you-my-wife-allan-wills" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> flashback episode for SparkHub</a>, I thought Ange and I would chat for a “one-and-done” trip down memory lane - then a whole new series of conversations opened up. It turned out that Ange and I had been living parallel lives; two children each, neuro-diversity in play, both of us split with the other half but still living under the same roof (for a long time) navigating so many unforeseen twists and turns. What is more, Ange is a practicing psychologist, helping her clients seek light in their own darkness as she combats her own reality - as we all do.
