Today on Sounds Of Brass.I Feature the Music of Jared Mccunnie an internationally-renowned brass and wind ensemble composer and musician. Jared has developed a distinct contemporary sound, with his works often programmatic in nature, and rhythmically fresh for community ensembles. Jared is regularly commissioned by Australian and international ensembles, and his works have been played by professional, community and school ensembles. The current bandmaster of the Amsterdam Staff Band of The Salvation Army.He first joined the band in 2000 on solo cornet, and then became deputy bandmaster in 2006.
