Peter Webster Brass Band ClassicalJoin myself Peter for this week's show Brass Band Classical, where we jump into the world of classical music without the strings or woodwind, all being performed by some of the world's top class Brass Bands.Peter first started Brass band life at the age of 5yo, were he learned how to play the Tenor Horn for a local concert Band called the Ashworth Brass Band of Rochdale, at the age of 20 he enlisted into the Army as a musician and became a French Horn Player for the QRIH up until he left in 1997/98 due to cutbacks,

31:26|The Brassettes Podcast - where we celebrate and share the stories of the fabulous women in brass.Dr Deanna Swoboda is an Associate Professor of Music at the Arizona State University where she teaches tuba, euphonium and music entrepreneurship.She is a former tuba player with Dallas Brass and the creator and performer of 'Band Blast Off'.Deanna is a past President of the International Tuba and Euphonium Association.She is an Eastman Music Company Tuba Artist and has commissioned over 30 compositions for solo tuba and chamber music.Her recordings include...Deanna's Wonderland, Shamanic Journey, Table for Three, Fanfare and Flourish, Games for Brass and most recently, Identity.Deanna is also a member of Athena Brass who played at the Royal Northern International Brass Band Festival in Manchester in January.Presented by Jo Behanwww.soundsofbrass.co.uk
