The Whole Church Called to Make Disciples
Scripture:
Matthew 28:19–20
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Explanation:
Jesus’ final instruction was clear and urgent: go and make disciples. This is not just a task for pastors or missionaries—it’s for every follower of Christ, although each one will have a different role. We are sent out into the world, empowered by His presence, to help others know, follow, and obey Jesus. The whole church must be on mission to make disciples.
Application:
God has given the church everything we need to begin making disciples right now—His Spirit, His Word, and our individual life situations. You may not feel ready, but Jesus promises to be with us, together as one church. So let's start sharing our stories. Share how Jesus transformed your life. Each one should fulfill his or her part. Let us obey His commandment, and trust that He will guide all of us in fulfilling the Great Commission. đź§đź—şď¸Ź
