Everyone is Gifted

Scripture: Ephesians 4:7–10

“But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: ‘When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.’ (What does ‘he ascended’ mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.)”

Explanation:

Each believer has been given grace from Christ—not just saving grace, but empowering grace. Jesus, who ascended in victory, now distributes spiritual gifts to His people so they can serve, bless, and build up the church.

Application:

You’ve been given something valuable by Jesus Himself. Don’t underestimate it. Ask Him to show you what your gifts are, and look for ways to use them in service to others. You were made to contribute to the body, not just consume from it.

1. Do you know the specific gifts God has given you? If not, how can you find out?
2. Are you using your gifts to help others thrive spiritually?
3. What might happen if you don’t use your gift?
