Victory Over Death πŸŽ‰βš‘

Passage: 1 Corinthians 15:50–54

50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changedβ€” 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: β€œDeath has been swallowed up in victory.”

Explanation: Paul proclaims the stunning truth that our mortal bodies cannot inherit the kingdom of God πŸ‘‘ β€” but in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye ✨, everything will change. The perishable will be clothed with the imperishable, and death will be swallowed up in victory πŸŽ‰.

Application: You don’t have to live in fear of death or loss. Because Jesus has secured your eternal future ✝️, you can live courageously today. Let your life reflect the victory that is already yours through Christ!

Reflection: 1) πŸ‘€ How does the promise of imperishable life encourage you when you face fears about death? 2) πŸ›‘οΈ Are you living today as someone who already has victory through Christ? 3) πŸš€ What is one way you can more boldly live out your faith in light of your guaranteed future?
