Submitting to One Another

Scripture: Ephesians 5:21–24 (NIV)

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.”

Explanation:

Paul teaches that all believers are to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. This attitude of humility and mutual respect is essential to all Christian relationships, especially in marriage. Wives are called to submit not out of fear, but as a reflection of trust in Christ’s leadership. This kind of submission honors God and reflects His design for order and love in the home.
