We must develop the spiritual discipline of paying attention to what we are paying attention to. We must pay attention to God, and that requires spiritual discipline. Our minds tend to wander and dwell on things that are not in accordance with who God is and what He desires for us.

    Sometimes, when you feel desolate or have negative emotions stirring inside your heart, the Lord may be inviting you to enter a waiting period with Him. Learn to trust God during this process. You may not see anything obvious or dramatic happening, but God is at work. Just wait and see.

  • Irritation as a Form of Divine Guidance

    Sometimes when we are irritated, we shrug it off as inconsequential. But the truth is that God may be revealing something about us that we do not yet see. He wants to transform us into the image of Jesus. Our irritability does not reflect the character of Christ, and God wants to transform us into the image of His Son.
