Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. (2 Thessalonians 3:16) This prayer is for us who believe in Jesus. May His peace guard our hearts always.

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). (Matthew 1:22-2) Through Jesus, God has drawn near into our very experience. He became man. Therefore, we are no longer alone in our struggles. He is with us!

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” (Luke 2:10) Christmas is all about the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. Through faith in Him, we can enter God's kingdom and be part of His family for all eternity.

Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city. (Proverbs 16:32) Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, you can only see it develop over time as you walk with the Holy Spirit.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. (1 Thessalonians 5:15) Since we are God's people, we must treat each other with kindness and respect, especially in the local church.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:8) Through Christ, God has shown us and continues to show us His amazing love. Through the Holy Spirit, He wants to give us the same ability to love others as He Himself has loved us.

"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." (Matthew 6:13) This is the prayer of a faithful disciple who understands the nature of spiritual things. Be humble and pray this prayer regularly.

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36) The possibility of experiencing true freedom is God's gift to those who believe and follow Jesus as Lord and Savior together with others.

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. (Psalm 42:1) Acknowledge your true feelings before the Lord. As He gives you empathy and comfort, praise Him.
