Movies with Mike and Anthony's Soda Pop Culture Club: Celebrating movies of the 80's, 90's and beyond
Do you love the movies of the 80s and 90s. Did late fees at the video store make you panic like you lost a book from the library? Then you are in the right place. Welcome to Mike and Anthony’s soda pop culture club. Me M
Comics, love, battle scars, and pronouns. Chasing Amy tells a story that makes you so confused and dumbfounded because of an obvious reason that we all can agree is just not reality. I mean seriously, how can we as an audience expect to believe that someone in their 20's has never played Skeeball?!?!?!?
It really doesn't get much more glamorous than the life of a porn star, especially a 70's and 80's porn star. But how long can the party really last? You can't f*ck forever, right? This is Boogie Nights, or the 2 1/2 hour movie with a weiner shot at the end.
Dear Mike Judge, thank you for all you've done. Mike and Anthony are sharing some major love today for Office Space. They're coming back up in your ass with the resurrection.
Mike and Anthony are not well-equipped to talk about going to parties in school, but they sure as heck are when it comes to movies about those parties that they never would have been invited to. And when it comes to party movies, House Party is in a class of its own. So kick back, make some Dick Gregory, and most importantly, DON'T BUMP THE TABLE!
Leap of Faith
If you think evangelists are completely full of crap (which makes you absolutely right, btw), then this might be a hidden gem if you haven't seen it. Actually, Leap of Faith could almost be Steve Martin's unofficial sequel to "The Jerk." Seems about right. Anyway, enjoy this episode on a movie where people use religion to rob people blind (by making them think they'll be able to see again if they actually are blind).
