It’s not terribly notable that an FBI agent would be hunting down a kidnapper.&nbsp; The law changed in 1932 after the Lindbergh kidnapping, and kidnapping was placed fully in the jurisdiction of the FBI.&nbsp; What is very notable is that the 1936 raid wasn’t Guy’s first brush with a kidnapper. Post WWII, Guy’s career really took wing, becoming an instructor in addition to his regular duties as an agent.&nbsp;But wings sometimes fail, and not only did an air disaster completely reshape our entire family’s future, but Guy himself sometimes threw caution to the wind and flew too high, setting the stage for a spectacular fall from grace. Edgar Hoover, with ties to legendary names like Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger, and Eddie Bentz.
