Pearse is the legendary bass player from the Saw Doctors. He invited us into his gorgeous home, tucked between two lakes and a hill, surrounded by nature and wild animals. He told me all about his start with the Docs, and how he still remains in awe of his bandmate’s incredible song writing skills. Rx

We caught Tracy right as she came back from walking 160kms of the Camino. She has that glow about her. The chilled demeanour of someone who has achieved something magnificent but also grounded them too.She's has a rough few years recently. Her body was sending her signs to slow down and change her manic freelancer lifestyle. Thankfully, shes finally listening!Rx

The most hospitable man in Galway has been working in hospitality his whole life. From bar to bar, in the heydays of the Róisín Dubh when it was just a wee bar, to now being part of the crew that’s awakening Electric from its slumber. Eoin has some really interesting insider thoughts on club life in Galway and what it would take to get us back to the glory days to 5am closing times again.

I once lived on a tour bus with Murt and 8 other men!  We travelled around the world doing hundreds of concerts together.While I dipped in and out of the music industry, Murt has been a roadie his whole life with many amazing bands. To get specific and use his professional title, he's a guitar tech (probably one of the best around).It takes a certain type of person to be able to tour. They need to be smart, confident, adaptable, have a thick skin and also be bit of a buzzer. Murt has it all in spades, especially after a glass of merlot.Rx

Cathy has come to the project to remember Quinn and have her name preserved in our book forever. Quinn was Cathy and Will’s baby girl, who sadly only breathed life for 20mins. She is a huge part of their lives and was the little girl who made Cathy “into a Mother”. We chat about what life is like after losing a baby, how perspective shifts, and even friendships change. We’ll all light a candle on October 15th, to remember Quinn on Baby Loss Awareness week. Angela invited us to her home for the chats. She has a beautiful cottage, surrounded by bog, in very rural Ireland. The fire is on and the tea is flowing. She has created a slow life here, one that’s very far from her previous life. Angela used to run her own very successful vegan food business. It was a triumph and had her up and back to Dublin all the time. It was chaotic and stressful, and something she didn’t really enjoy doing. Along with the business stress, came an addiction relapse. Angela would abuse drugs and alcohol to get her through the days and tried time and time again to break the cycle. It wasn’t until her lowest moments, alone in her cottage, that she would stumble upon meditation and the ability to change your neural pathways. She began researching and practicing until it saved her life. She has since trained as a hypnotherapist and helps other addicts get back to where they need to be. Rx

Michael has a fascinating career, he is an Irish composer, writer, director and performer, and has just created a brand new opera, The Curing Line. His research techniques were above and beyond. He went out into rural communities, interviewing folk with "the cure”. A rapidly disappearing part of Irish culture.

Like a lot of people, Covid changed things for Caitriona, but in a really lovely way. Her work went mostly remote, which made her really look at where she was in the world. After great consideration with her husband, they packed up their lives in Dublin, along with their 1 year old, and moved West to open a cafe. She now gets the best of both worlds, occasionally popping up to Dublin for work, taking in the buzz of the city, and then retreating to Louisburgh when she’s had enough. The dream! Rx
