Ravneet Kaur and Paramjit Kaur: Intergenerational Depression
MENTAL HEALTH KI HUNDI HAI:
Sikh Forgiveness have launched Mental Health Ki Hundi Hai, a transformative translation guide that looks to explore and explain common mental health issues in a way that Sikh and Punjabi speaking communities can understand.
If you’re looking to purchase internationally, you can find the eBook on Amazon, and you can order paperback copies from Amazon in Canada and the US at this time. We are working on International shipping for purchases made direct from Sikh Forgiveness and this will be possible soon.
As this week is Mental Health Awareness Week, in this podcast, Sandy Kaur speaks to our very own Paramjit Kaur and her daughter Ravneet Kaur about their experiences of depression, and what it means for a woman from a South Asian background to live with depression.
We’re very blessed that Paramjit Kaur was able to share her story and for Ravneet to be able to speak about the way depression affects the whole family. This episode is in Punjabi and English.
