In this episode Sandy Kaur is speaking to Aarti Kumari, a suidcide prevention manager. She discusses the importance of using the right teminlogy when supporting someone with suicidal thoughts, the role faith leaders and communities can play in normalising the conversation of Suicide.

With a decade long career in Mental Health Aarti, shares the positive changes being made with more people seeking the support for themselves and loved ones.

Parul experienced Alopecia through her life, and likens the resolution to this experience as Post-Traumatic Growth. Parul spends time thinking about what it means to be perceived in South Asian societies and cultures when you're a woman who doesn't (and may not be able to) conform to societal norms.Parul currently is running a project called "Ancestral Futures: Ancient Ideas to build our futures" which holds a focus on collecting pre-colonial South Asian ideologies, culture and histories in hopes to share knowledge and offer different ways of being.
