Should I Bother?
Should You Bother Trying Energy Healing?
What is Energy Healing?
Well, have you heard of Reiki?
Ok. It’s not that. But it’s kind of in the same realm as that? I think.
In the same way apples and pears belong in the same fruit bowl.
Not purposely trying to be confusing here, but even after trying this, we’re still struggling to explain it - what it is, how it helps, if you should bother with it?!
In this episode, we speak to Renu Arora, Energy Healer and creator of the Accelerated Release Technique. You can read more about this on her website: https://www.healfromyourpast.com/
She does a remote energy healing over Zoom and for this episode, she tried to use it to help Steph get over her fear of flying.
So. Did it work?

121. Should You Bother Learning Witchcraft?
01:12:47||Season 1, Ep. 121For between 1-2 million people, witchcraft isn’t just something that’s passively joked about at Halloween. It’s their religion. Mic, fu*king, drop. They’ve got dedicated witchcraft brooms and cauldrons and if you google, “witchcraft shop near me”, you’ll very likely find a place that sells all their supplies.I know what you’re thinking: “wtf is going on? SO many questions!!” But don’t worry, we’ll answer as many as we can as well as help you understand what it takes to learn witchcraft and if it’s something you should bother with. Also, you don’t need to buy a witches hat or anything, but if you have one, wear it while you listen. You might as well look the part. Should You Bother Making Candles at Home Using a Candle Making Kit?
01:05:32||Season 1, Ep. 119Easiest way to make your own candles at home? Get yourself a candle making kit, obviously… did you not just read the title??Evenings keep getting shorter, colder and darker. So what better activity to try than making your own candles! Definitely very practical, given the time of year. But is it as exciting as watching paint dry? At least 78,000 are interested in it according to the subreddit, r/candlemaking. While the latter (r/WatchPaintDry) only has 210 members. Maybe that’s all the validation one could need. Regardless, we’re committed. We’ve got the kit and we’ll be discussing what supplies are needed, how to make your own candle, and whether this is the perfect hobby to bother with during the Winter months. P.S. If you truly can’t be arsed making a candle, this local Irish business makes 100% natural, sustainable ones, so you don’t have to: https://flower-child.ie/Liked this episode or have a suggestion for something we should bother doing? Should You Bother Using Nasal Strips for a Better Night’s Sleep?
01:00:38||Season 1, Ep. 118Nasal strips: essentially plasters for your schnoz that help you breathe better. Simple enough.Athletes use them when running. Snotty people use them for congestion. Snorers use them to shut the fck up at night and stop disturbing everyone else. So if you’re an athletic, snotty snorer, you’ve hit the jackpot! You know what question we’re gonna ask though. Should you really bother using them? That’s a lot of promises for what looks like a basic enough plaster you stick on your nose. Do they actually improve your sleep quality? Or help you breathe better while running? And if you would consider your nose to be slightly fuc*ed (e.g. deviated septum), are you the perfect person to benefit? Luckily, with one of us (Gary) having said infliction, and the other being an athletic snotty snorer, we happen to be the best people to put them to the test. Should You Bother Doing the Myers Briggs Personality Test?
01:08:31||Season 1, Ep. 117We’re guessing you know what the Myers Briggs Personality test is? Don’t feel bad if you don’t, but with over 2 million people taking the test a year - for work or otherwise - there’s bound to have been at least one, telling you all about their “type indicator” and who they are as a person without being prompted? Annoying? Very. But how valid is the test really? Are you actually going to discover things about who you are that you weren’t aware of? Does it help you change as a person, or succeed in your career? Or is this just another horoscope-type thing we love to indulge in? If you’re new here, we take this episode to answer those questions, try the test for ourselves and see if it’s worth the bother doing. If you’re not, then you knew that already (and thanks for being here again xoxo)Liked this episode or have a suggestion for something we should bother doing? We’d love your review! Should You Bother Keeping Houseplants Alive With a Free Plant App?
59:03||Season 1, Ep. 116Not exactly a question of morality, is it. Because if it was a crime to murder a houseplant, wouldn’t most of us be locked up? Also, does anyone really intend to “murder” it in the first place? More likely to be called “plantslaughter” than anything else (Note: You won’t find this is the Oxford Dictionary, but Urban dictionary has got it covered!)All of that bollo*ks aside, what do you do if you want to stop the unnecessary killing of every houseplant you ever had the notion of purchasing? You get a plant app of course! Do you pay for it? NO. Not a fu*king chance. If you were that invested in plant care, you wouldn’t be killing them in the first place! So the objective of this episode is: find the best free plant care app and see if it’s actually worth the bother of using. We also have a bit of a chat about dendrophiles (people who want their houseplants to be more than just “friends”) and some of the weirdest apps on the App Store (need a way to remember every place you’ve ever taken a sh*t?)Now, press play with that green thumb of yours and let us know what you think. Should You Bother Starting a YouTube Channel to Make Money?
01:01:34||Season 1, Ep. 115As the second largest search engine in the world, YouTube has paid out over $70 billion to its creators in the last 3 years. How much of that went to people making cat videos? Think about it!Unfortunately, that’s not something we’re able to answer in this episode, but we do discuss things like: Whether or not it’s too late to get started with a YouTube Channel,What are the channels with the most subscribers and why, The various ways creators make money through YouTube, and how Steph’s experience was starting her own, as well as how much money she made from it all. Get rich quick scheme? I think you already know the answer to that.Liked this episode or have a suggestion for something we should bother doing? We’d love your review! Want to get in contact? Should You Bother Eating At The IKEA Food Court? (Without Buying Furniture)
56:17||Season 1, Ep. 114Weird fact: 30% of IKEA customers go there for the Food Court alone. That’s nearly one in three, driving to this big yellow and blue warehouse, not for some flat packed desk or Billy Bookcase. For a plate of small Swedish meatballs!Which begs the question: what the F is in those meatballs?? And why do they draw a crowd to a furniture brand? If you’ve been to an IKEA - probably dragged there by some parent or other half - you’ve likely wondered, “how are these hot dogs so cheap?” You might have also questioned if you can get those sweet little balls delivered right to your door for a cheap, dine-in meal by the telly with the spouse on a Friday night. Well let me tell you two things: If you’ve wondered that specifically, your marriage needs help.If you want the answer to those last 2 questions and more, listen to this episode.
