  • 1809. Jan 13, 2026: Mon Dieu! Canucks 0 for 4 on trip, OTT next

    01:49:40||Ep. 1809
    After yet another thrashing on the road for the Canucks, Matt and Blake pick up the pieces and wonder what's next for the team. The guys debate whether a coaching change is needed or wanted by the team/fans/media, and whether losing this bad will have detrimental effects on certain players. Plus, there are injury updates on Sherwood and Demko, trade rumours abound and the Canucks have another Olympian in the organization. RinkWide's Jeff Paterson jumps in to join the guys and discuss what he saw in Montreal. JPat weighs in on the lack of scoring from the veterans with big contracts, the goaltending performance of Tolipilo, the risk of a losing culture, and Adam Foote's role in all of this. Jeff talks about Manny Malhotra's possible succession plan as well and whether waiting too long to make trades is going to come back and bite the Canucks. The guys wrap up the show with a final look at NFL Wild card weekend, Canadian mens soccer players going in opposing directions this season, and Kyle Lowry getting labeled the "GROAT".Thank you to our great sponsors:@bet365: It's never ordinary! • 1807. Jan 12, 2025: Canucks talk "rebuild" as Sherwood injured, Garland back vs Habs

    01:38:19||Ep. 1807
    As the Canucks get ready for back to back games out east, Matt and Blake have the latest lineup news as there are myriad of changes for the team ahead of its game in Montreal. The guys look at what the Sherwood injury might mean for his likely trade, and what the impending return of players like Garland, Blueger and Chytil will do for the team's plans. TSN's NHL insider Darren Dreger makes his weekly stop to discuss the busy week in rumours around the Canucks. Dregs gets into the semantics of "rebuild", and what that likely means in the minds of Canucks management. Darren talks about the Sherwood discussions and the rest of the UFA parts to be sold, but also the likes of EP40 and any other veterans that may have value to someone around the league. He also weighs in on the rest of the market as the Blues get ready to sell, and the Devils try to stop the bleeding in the wake of missing out on Quinn Hughes. The guys wrap up the show with a look at the historic weekend of NFL playoff games and setting up next week's Seahawks game. Plus, Canada's women's Olympic hockey team is announced and the Canadian team at the WBC is taking shape as well!Thank you to our great sponsors:@bet365: It's never ordinary! • 1805. Jan 9, 2026: Historically worst Canucks? Leafs up next

    02:07:48||Ep. 1805
    After another mind-numbing Canucks loss last night, Matt and Blake are forced to look into historic comparisons of Canuck ineptitude. The guys debate just how low they can go, and what that will mean to the fanbase, the owner and the team. The guys relay the latest trade rumours and possibilities for Vancouver, including a familiar name that was previously of interest for the Canucks. RinkWide's Jeff Paterson is back to recap the awfulness from Detroit, and to chat about where this season ranks all time. JPat also talks about the sagging performance of the vets like Boeser and Marcus Pettersson, and the need to move on soon for Sherwood and maybe even DeBrusk. The Sheet's Jeff Marek makes his 2026 debut and the boys go deep on a variety of issues from the Olympic ice surface to World Jrs to the Ottawa Senators off ice soap opera. Marek also talks about any Sherwood interest from the Wings and they get into trivia on active franchise goal leaders. • 1802. Jan 8, 2026: EP40's injury, DeBrusk's future, Sherwood's market

    01:45:14||Ep. 1802
    The Canucks are back at it on the road vs the Wings but Matt and Blake know the other stories around this team are just bigger! The guys react as EP40 is talking openly about playing through injury and they debate the real possibility of a Jake DeBrusk trade. PostMedia's Patrick Johnston makes his weekly appearance and talks about the almost annual death spiral that has begun extra early this season. He gives his choice of reasons for fans to still pay attention and whether EP40's season is one of them. He also weighs in on which veterans want to stick it out for the rebuild/reload/retool. Matt and Blake finish up with a look at the wild Tristan Blackmon trade rumours around the Whitecaps and how the team went to extremes to quash them. Also, the BC Lions get a terrible report card from the players, they lose a key player to the NFL, and another NFL coach is fired!Thank you to our great sponsors:@bet365: It's never ordinary!
