Jan 12, 2026: Canucks talk "rebuild" as Sherwood injured, Garland back vs Habs
As the Canucks get ready for back to back games out east, Matt and Blake have the latest lineup news as there are myriad of changes for the team ahead of its game in Montreal. The guys look at what the Sherwood injury might mean for his likely trade, and what the impending return of players like Garland, Blueger and Chytil will do for the team's plans. TSN's NHL insider Darren Dreger makes his weekly stop to discuss the busy week in rumours around the Canucks. Dregs gets into the semantics of "rebuild", and what that likely means in the minds of Canucks management. Darren talks about the Sherwood discussions and the rest of the UFA parts to be sold, but also the likes of EP40 and any other veterans that may have value to someone around the league. He also weighs in on the rest of the market as the Blues get ready to sell, and the Devils try to stop the bleeding in the wake of missing out on Quinn Hughes. The guys wrap up the show with a look at the historic weekend of NFL playoff games and setting up next week's Seahawks game. Plus, Canada's women's Olympic hockey team is announced and the Canadian team at the WBC is taking shape as well!
