Dec 19, 2025: No-go for Bo vs the Canucks as the "C" debate begins

Gameday for the Canucks versus the Islanders, and Matt and Blake have you covered, including all the lineup possibilities and the absences of a few key players! The guys also debate the captaincy and who should take over after the departure of Quinn Hughes. The Sheet's Jeff Marek is back to talk about the first week "post Hughes" for the Canucks, and whether he thinks there was ever really anybody else that was close on the deal. Jeff has takes on how much farther the rebuild goes for Vancouver and whether more veterans are on the way out or not. Marek also waxes on the prowess of Hughes and how the WIld are now legit Cup contenders. Former Whitecaps gaffer, and new Halifax Wanderers coach, Vanni Sartini joins the guys to say goodbye to the city he's called home for the better part of a decade. Vanni talks about watching the players he coached enjoy so much success this season with the 'Caps, his thoughts on how the 'Caps might be able to fit Gauld and Müller on the pitch together, and his level of optimism on the possibility of Italy facing Canada in the World Cup. Matt and Blake wrap up the show with a look at the legendary Seahawks/Rams game on Thursday NIght Football and what it means for the 'Hawks going forward, plus, the Whitecaps have thoughts on BC Place's negotiating technique and the BC Lions sign a key piece!
