Just days out from the Quinn Hughes trade, our guest co-host Patrick Johnston sat down with Jim Rutherford to get a scoop on how this whole thing went down. Patrick and Matt discuss all the things Rutherford had to say. The the guys also review some of the things Rutherford have said in the past, which don't quite line up with the current plan,
Cam Robinson, Editor of Elite Prospects joins us to discuss the Quinn Hughes trade, and what the Canucks should do with their draft picks this season. Cam also gives us a review of the young players that the Canucks aquired in the trade.
Lean John, golfer from Vancouver, joins us to talk about her road to qualifying for the LPGA tour for this season and how happy she is to see Canadian golf taking shape. She also shares what it was like to grow up as family friends with the Celebrini family and pushing each other to excel in their respective sports.

Matt and Blake look at what the deal has done to the perception of Canucks management and whether this signals that brighter days are ahead. They also take a peek at Minnesota's reaction to the first week of Hughes being there, and the heartbreak it's given his former teammates in Vancouver. The Daily Hive's Rob Williams drops in for his final visit of 2025 and comments on the city's reaction to the Hughes trade. Rob gets into the possible next steps for the team and whether it's possible to get a third 1st round pick in the 2026 draft. He also looks at the Hughes legacy in the city and whether the remaining veterans may want to stay for the rebuild.
