Once again the boys had the honour of getting early access to review this wonderful little indie thriller. A cat and mouse story involving a mad dash for the Canadian border, New Life is a well made debut feature with a genre shifting twist in the second act that you won't see coming.

In our newest Second Take Cinema we were offered a fantastic opportunity to do an early review of this low budget indie thriller in which a runaway bride finds herself kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a crazed kidnappers car.

Jamie & Rory take on The Wrestler, directed by Darren Aronofsky. Both men have different interpretations for this film which makes for an exciting discussion!

Things get mushy once again on Second Take Cinema as Jamie and Rory take a look at this Richard Curtis helmed rom com based around a loosely defined time travel concept. Yet another entry in the weirdly specific subgenre of "time travel movies starring Rachel McAdams but she never does the time travelling."

Clint Eastwood directs and stars in this Western with a surreal twist about a mysterious stranger who is hired by a small town to protect them from a gang of bandits. Different from most other Westerns, this movie caused John Wayne to write to Eastwood disparaging him for besmirching the good name of the Western!

Go back in time to the film that essentially introduced Hollywood to the soon-to-be-iconic Audrey Hepburn as Jamie and Rory revisit this romantic comedy from the 1950s.

Continue celebrating the release of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire by coming back to ye olde year of 1998 to revisit this infamous pop culture dud! Joined by special guest Harry McIlroy, the boys take a look back at America's first attempt at bringing the Japanese icon to the silver screen and ask themselves if the film really deserves its ill-gotten reputation.

To celebrate the release of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, the boys take a look back at the previous time these two titans of the screen teamed up in Adam Wingard's Godzilla vs Kong!

It's a celebratory episode this week as the boys review one of their favourite comedies (and one of the few they both enjoy) ever; 2004's Dodgeball. Starring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller and the directorial debut of Rawson Marshall Thurber, this slapstick comedy holds up well twenty years later.
