This week in Scottish History marks the death of Thomas Cochrane. An incredible navy man who fought for Britain, Chile, Peru and Greece.

He was fiery, and involved in a scandal that threatened to ruin him completely.

A story I have wanted to tell for a long time, as there is an impressive bust of him in Culross, Fife.

I remember having Chilean passengers on an Outlander tour who recognised him instantly!
