Rule The Roost - A Tottenham Hotspur Podcast

Anyone > Sherwood

This week, we welcome the victory against Sunderland with as much enthusiasm as we do the return of Game Of Thrones. We discuss Kane, Eriksen, Van Gaal and can't find a manager between us that we wouldn't want over Sherwood - not even Pardew. West Brom is previewed with an opposition guest, and for a change, it's just by Raj rather than Jack, but all is explained as we tear down the proverbial fourth wall. Much happier disposition around the show this week, it's a wonder what a half decent win, Arsenal capitulation and Sherwood sacking will do for moral, isn't it?

In Tottenham's first real test of pre-season, Ange Postecoglou's men didn't look great. Despite a rocket from Pedro Porro and a bright second half from Lucas Bergvall, Spurs looked uninspiring at best. Defensively suspect, and lacking any real invention or focal point upfront. It may only be a friendly, but it's still somewhat concerning. Let's hope they get some business done soon.
