Rugby Weekly Extra
A thrilling western, Baloucoune's next level, and Rowntree set to take reins at Munster
Murray Kinsella, Bernard Jackman and Gavan Casey look back on an unbelievably exciting weekend's rugby.
The lads start in Galway where Mack Hansen revealed his tattoo of Oisín Dowling, Connacht bore their souls and Leinster were, for the most part, mightily impressive but came away with only a five-point advantage after a European interprovincial thriller. Murray and Gavan also have a slightly different take on Jamison Gibson-Park's yellow card than Berch and the vast majority of observers.
Then it's to Toulouse, where Robert Baloucoune stamped his name into Ulster Rugby folklore and got the lads excited for what he might bring to Andy Farrell's Ireland backline in the next 12-18 months.
Exeter and Munster probably both came away from Sandy Park feeling as though they should have either won their first leg or won it by more. Berch, Murray and Gavan look at a strange game, and peer ahead to what looks like it might be a new, Graham Rowntree-led era at the slightly confused-looking southern province.
And Ireland got off the mark in the Women's Six Nations with a markedly improved performance versus Italy. The lads examine Irish improvements and look ahead from behind their fingers at the trip to England, which Ireland will make shorn of several of their star players.
