Laura’s pick this month is Tangled Up in You by Christina Lauren, a delightful retelling of the Disney version of Rapunzel. We talk storyline and how it compares to the movie and we definitely dabble in some ick/yum conversation and maybe a little pregnancy trope. Loving these retelling style series right now.

It’s the final book in the Four Horsemen series recommended by Ashley. Today we talk Death, we are so sad to be finishing this but very excited to see what Thalassa has coming up next. Death rides on swift wings!

Laura’s pick for this month is book two in what we are calling the Tanrian Tales, it’s the Undermining of Twyla and Frank by Megan Bannen. We first met Twyla and Frank in the Undertaking of Hart and Mercy. This is definitely a fun read, listen and find out all about it.

Ashley pick: Ashley and Laura continue to read the Four Horsemen series with the third book Famine. This is Ashley’s favorite in the series, Laura is still debating her favorite. This episode contains talk of violent attacks on characters and some spice.

Laura’s choice this month is The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen. This book has some world building like we have never seen before! So grab a coffee sit back and enjoy this chat.

Laura chooses The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson for us to read and chat about. We get into a lot of talk about smut in books and whether certain words are vulgar. If you are easily offended by sexual conversations maybe stay away from this episode. Let’s get into it!
