Noong nakaraang buwan, pinag-usapan natin kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng pagkakaroon ng mas mabuting puso — hindi dahil sa sariling pagsisikap, kundi dahil sa gawain ng Banal na Espiritu na nagpapanumbalik ng larawan ng Diyos sa atin. Ang tunay na pagbabago ay nagsisimula sa pagsuko… ngunit ano nga ba ang ibig sabihin ng tunay na pagsuko sa Diyos?Sa panahong ito kung kailan marami ang nagdiriwang ng Kuwaresma bilang paghahanda sa Mahal na Araw at Linggo ng Pagkabuhay, madalas nating marinig ang salitang pagsuko. Pero nauunawaan ba talaga natin ito? Sapat na ba ang pag-iwas sa ilang bagay, o may mas malalim pang inaanyayahan ang Diyos sa atin?Sa buwang ito, sisimulan nating pag-aralan ang Awit 51 at tuklasin ang landas patungo sa tunay na pagsuko. Sa pagtingin natin sa panalangin ni David, makikita natin na ang pagsuko ay hindi lamang panlabas na gawain, kundi isang bagay na umaabot sa pinakaloob ng ating puso.Kung matagal mo nang hinahanap ang tunay at pangmatagalang pagbabago, maaaring ito na ang paanyaya ng Diyos para sa iyo.Samahan mo kami habang sinisimulan natin ang paglalakbay tungo sa tunay na pagsuko.

Pero ganito nga ba ang tunay na kahulugan ng kalayaan?Sa mensaheng ito, titingnan natin kung ano ang sinasabi ng Kasulatan tungkol sa kalayaan at sa kalagayan ng puso ng tao. Bakit iniuugnay ng Biblia ang kalayaan sa pag-ibig, kababaang-loob, at sa paraan ng pakikitungo natin sa iba? At bakit posible na ang kalayaang hinahanap natin ay hindi pala ang kalayaang tunay na nagpapalaya?Samahan ninyo kami habang binubuksan natin ang isang mahalagang talata sa Galacia at pinag-iisipan kung ano ang ipinapakita nito tungkol sa pusong tunay na kailangan natin.
