Lee Francis IV is the author of Ghost River, a graphic novel about the Conestoga, a native people who lived in what is now Central Pennsylvania, and the founder of Native Realities and Red Planet Books and Comics in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jon and I spent a good chunk of a 24-hour period at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design with a group of motivated Society of Illustrators, who were intent on creating a comic book in 24 hours. Most students work collaboratively, breaking from their work to eat a bit, sleep a bit, or wandering around PCAD's halls aimless and bleary-eyed.
