His most recent endeavours include the HIDE Project, a multifaceted public art initiative inspired by his connection to nature and his family's history in Fingal. The project includes bird-themed prints, a functional bird hide sculpture, a radio station, and a dedicated website, all aimed at fostering community engagement and highlighting local biodiversity. Additionally, Phelan's Golden Bandstand project is a striking public installation that brings art into communal spaces. Phelan's work emphasizes the importance of storytelling, respect for artistic dedication, and the balance between professional and personal creativity.
