The episode is part of our recipe for change campaign led by Sustain, The Food Foundation, Obesity Health Alliance, with a wider coalition of nearly 50 supporting organisations. The campaign is calling for the government to introduce a new tax on food companies to encourage them to improve the healthiness of the food they sell us and play their part in supporting our health. She argued that the UK’s increasing reliance on highly processed cheap food has led to a dangerously weak fresh produce sector and a downward spiral for health.Here she takes us through what she sees as the opportunities for securing more minimally processed foods from farms produced in Britain.
