Rich and Ally's Craven Newsround Compilation - Aunty Christ
Friday 4th September 2026 - Aunty Christ - Rich and Ally have been shook by their interloper this week, but now he’s back at school and everything is quiet and to be honest it all feels wrong. He may have broken this thing. But the team attempt to get to the bottom of the crocodile’s transgressions and work out who the anti-Christ is before wisely giving up before their five minutes is up. You’ll probably like it.
Wednesday 2nd September 2026 - Crocodile Rock - In today’s Newsround we interview the crazy character who interloped yesterday and find him to be quite a down to earth guy, even if he has offended medieval Scotland. We also talk to a returning political force as we find out why Farage went up on the roof of parliament today. Will Hahayourbuttsmells crash the party? What the Hell is going on on this previously serious news programme?
Tuesday 1st September 2026 - Never Work With Children or Puppets - Rich is back but a terrifying new interloper beyond his control threatens to and succeeds in disrupting the serious news service. In the quiet times between Rich and Ally try to ascertain if a moon of Phobos is an alien space craft, but instead finds out how they do things in medieval Scotland. Plus an actual joke.
Monday 31st August 2026 - Podcast America - Rich and Ally are back after a lovely summer holiday of death and there’s more bad news to get us started with the loss of a popular Newsround character. But which one? The boys talk about Canada standing up to Trump in a way that no one else is brave enough to do.With a special report from Lake America. Like Google, we are f*cking sycophantic sell-outs.

34. Rich and Ally's Craven Newsround Compilation - Ameliorate the Situation
01:09:14||Ep. 3419/10/26 Ameliorate the Situation - Rich and Ally start a brand new week covering the only news stories that matter: the non-discovery of Amelia Earhart’s plane and Andy Burnham coming down hard, but not hard enough on people playing music on public transport. All packed into five minutes as usual, with limited same phrases.20/10/26 Potty Trained Interloper - Rich and Ally attempt to talk about a serious news story, but their studio is invaded by a malicious force which they have to deal with. At least they nearly kept to their time this time.22/10/26 Dirty Pigeons - Rich and Ally are here to talk about Kyle Maclachlan and very expensive Pokemon cards. Lots of singing in this one, so if you don’t like that then best avoid this. I’d say best avoid the whole thing in general, but I can’t tell you what to do.23/10/26 Sticky Globes - Rich and Ally would like to apologise to the pigeon community for any offence caused by yesterday’s Newsround. Today we look at smashed historical artefacts and who will be the next BondJamesBond. Will it be Ally? 198. Andrew Hankinson on Felled - Book Club
48:18||Ep. 198RHLSTP Book Club #198 - Felled - Richard chats to author Andrew Hankinson about his new book about the destruction of the Sycamore Gap, Felled. They also discuss his previous books about Raoul Moat and New York’s Comedy Cellar, plus whether modern UK comedy is failing to push boundaries in the same was as US comics. Then they chat about the new book and how it’s as much about Andrew as the tree or the crime. What does it all say about the crisis of masculinity? Are we all trying to impress our repressed dads and how do we cope when we lose them? Why did people get so upset about the loss of a tree when there might not be the same level of anger over an actual murder? What drove the men who did this and can we ever be sure? And is there a new trend of authors questioning themselves and their own lives in their work?Buy this fascinating book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/felled-the-killing-at-sycamore-gap-andrew-hankinson/6c702f9374218f79SUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO)
9. Mark Thomas - "Bin Face vs Bin Juice"
01:00:28||Season 34, Ep. 9RHLSTP #632 - Bin Face vs Bin Juice - Rich is feeling a bit better. Is it because of God? If so God has also sent him a loquacious guest at this difficult 8th gig of the Fringe - it’s stand-up veteran and agitator Mark Thomas. Mark reminisces about the crazy acts that populated the circuit when he started 40 years ago, how he got the Kurdish National Medal of Honour, how he is the world’s most arrested comedian (impressive given the competition), what it’s like to have the red dot of a sniper rifle appear on your forehead, how activism got him a free trip to the cinema, his surprising love of Kung Fu films and much more. 167. Adam Rowe (Retro) - "Thigh-Eyed"
01:10:24||Ep. 167#454 Thigh-Eyed - Richard’s non-Edinburgh Edinburgh Fringe continues as he reveals the latest put downs from his much-funnier-than-him children. His guest is podcast king and fine stand up Adam Rowe. They discuss how doing an advert led to threats of violence, putting your stand up specials on Youtube for free, turning romantic heartbreak into comedy, how the Have A Word podcast has taken the UK by storm, whether sharks are better than dolphins, how you can still say whatever you like in comedy and whether therapy is good for comedians.Links for tour tickets, podcasts and Adam’s specials here https://www.adamrowe.co.uk/Come and see RHLSTP live - all dates and confirmed guests here http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE
33. Rich and Ally's Craven Newsround Compilation - Andy Burnham Is a Liar
58:09||Ep. 3313/10/26 Andy Burnham Is a Liar - Rich and Ally are back to discuss the result of the Pottery Throwdown and the proof that Andy Burnham’s pants on on fire, with proof straight from the crocodile’s mouth. Also how did Ziggy lose her arms? We might find out today. Don’t miss it. Makes GB News look woke as fudge.14/10/26 Are You Taking The P*ss - Rich and Ally are back for a post-prandial Newsround which you probably don’t want to watch while you’re eating, especially if you’re eating a Solero, about a dastardly criminal and his propensity for destruction. No kink shaming intended. Though you should be ashamed of your kinks. Or at the very least not proud of them.16/10/26 Time Tinkerer - Rich and Ally get into some quite personal territory that you might wish to skip through, before being the only media outlet being brave enough to turn against the dictatorial star at the centre of our solar system. Should it wear clothing of any kind? Probably not.See RHLSTP in real life http://richardherring.com/rhlstpOr support this with a badge - https://gofasterstripe.com/badgesTitles by Andy BobbinMusic by Mike CosgraveDirected by Chris Evans.Any similarity to John Craven’s Newsround is entirely coincidental
197. Jonn Elledge on 31 Inventions That Built Our World - Book Club
49:06||Ep. 197RHLSTP Book Club #197 - 31 Inventions That Built Our World - In a book club first an author (that I am not married to) has come to Hitchin for a face to face chat. Jonn Elledge is here to discuss his latest book 31 Inventions That Built Our World as well as how close he came to being in a Harry Potter film. They chat about his previous books about borders and conspiracy theories (and a possibly true one about Britney Spears) and then discuss the infrastructure of our modern world that we take for granted and how it got here. This includes how the car helped create the concept of teenagers and changed the world of dating, why electric cars failed to gain traction the first time they were introduced and why people thought they were only for women, how lighting destroyed the concept of first and second sleeps, how William Huskisson might not be the first person to be killed by a train and how he was the third most famous aspect of his own death anyway and how this book changes the way you look at the world,Buy the book here - https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/31-inventions-that-built-our-world-from-the-sunday-times-1-bestselling-author-of-a-history-of-the-world-in-47-borders-jonn-elledge/fcf314aacc4bcd9bSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPEAudio mix by Ben Evans (NTO)Thanks to Chris Evans (NTO)
8. Felicity Ward - "Champagne Supernova"
59:59||Season 34, Ep. 8RHLSTP #631 - Champagne Supernova - Richard is four shows into his Fringe run and has crossed the one line that Ricky Gervais fans will not tolerate and he’s a bit under the weather and immune compromised so this may be his last show. Luckily his guest is a healing force of nature - Felicity Ward. They talk about Covid, death, divorce and cancer and how these things are all comedy gold, plus Dancing with the Stars, being the Australian David Brent (and a second red line for Gervais fans), getting cast in another one series but brilliant show, Time Bandits and meeting Lisa Kudrow and whether Richard could do with a therapist and whether it’s worth having kids in case you lose an organ. Another really lively and fun show. 166. Bridget Christie (Retro) - "Unchained Melody"
01:12:39||Ep. 166#453 Unchained Melody - Richard has got very angry with a cold caller - was he in there right? His guest is brilliant stand up and creator of new TV comedy “The Change”, Bridget Christie. In an explosive opening they discuss why Richard isn’t presenting the Masked Singer (amongst much else) and why he is evil for eating chocolate buttons, but then things calm down a bit as they discuss Bridget’s major TV debut, whether men do an equal share of household duties and the app that might help, why there are so few comedy shows about middle aged women, how getting older can be liberating and how amazing it is to have a channel and production team that let you get on with your vision. Plus working with Jerome Flynn and what it was like for Richard to introduce him on Top of the Pops. Also the primeval dance with Greg Davies and the extraordinary power of Taskmaster and getting to appear on Ghosts.See Bridget on tour https://www.bridgetchristie.co.uk/gigs/And watch The Change here https://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-changeCome and see RHLSTP live - all dates and confirmed guests here http://richardherring.com/rhlstpSUPPORT THE SHOW!See details of the RHLSTP LIVE DATES Watch our TWITCH CHANNELBecome a badger and see extra content at our WEBSITE Buy DVDs and books from GO FASTER STRIPE
32. Rich and Ally's Craven Newsround Compilation - Randrew Andrew’s No Can Do
01:04:59||Ep. 325th October 2026 - Randrew Andrew’s No Can Do - It’s a new week on Newsround, but same old rubbish. Today Rich, Ally and channel-mandated co-host Ziggy look at Andrew Mountbattenburg-Iceburg-Lettuce-Withagladsomemind- Windsor-Peppapigland attempt to prosecute the police who dared arrest him when he’s (apparently) done nothing wrong. With the interview that the lamestreamers would kill for Randrew Andrew himself.7th October 2026 - Penile System - It’s a serious topic for today’s Newsround - is it OK to kill a murderer or does that just make you a murderer too? Who better to work this out than a washed-up comedian, a 134 year old ventriloquist dummy and a naked baby with a disembodied arm? No one that is who.8th October 2026 - Flea Glob - Rich and Ally (and Ziggy?) look at the upcoming new pandemic and the return of the plague and try to accentuate the positive. A brave reporter is over at the Russian plague lab now and will let the world know how close to extinction we are.See RHLSTP in real life http://richardherring.com/rhlstpOr support this with a badge - https://gofasterstripe.com/badgesTitles by Andy BobbinMusic by Mike CosgraveDirected by Chris Evans.Any similarity to John Craven’s Newsround is entirely coincidental
