"A Weird Choice" | Fangirl

“Why was that a detail?"

We’ve read a few contemporary books on this show, but none that made us self-reflect on the nature of hosting a fan podcast and experiencing the other side of fandom through our relationships with our listeners as much as Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl (2013).

Just kidding. This book is crazy! Daphne and Kellie recap the college coming-of-age story and talk fanfic, young love, and one major historic event in particular in this episode.

“This book is basically Citizen Kane.”Happy Halloween! We read Ransom Riggs’ fantastical 2013 novel/found photography collection, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, to celebrate. It’s not nearly as haunting as we remember—at least, not in terms of ghosts and ghouls. Plus, Kellie finally finished the Delirium series! Stick around until the end to hear her recap the final book of the trilogy, Requiem, for Daphne.Timestamps:Miss Peregrine Recap 10:10Requiem Recap 48:50Bog cheese articles, as promised, except it’s not cheese, it’s butter.
