Ep #120: The Difference Between Physical Therapy and The Stretch Method
Today, I'm excited to dive into the crucial differences between Physical Therapy and the Stretch Method. Physical Therapy focuses on restoring and maintaining physical function, utilizing hands-on techniques and exercises to help patients recover from injury or surgery. Its goal is to improve strength, flexibility, and balance while reducing pain.
But here's the thing: despite Physical Therapy's value, I noticed a gap in care that inspired me to create the Stretch Method. It's a holistic approach combining physical therapy principles with reconditioning programs and preventative health strategies. Unlike conventional care, we seek to reverse pain and tightness, restoring joint mobility and breaking the cycle that leads to chronic pain.
I founded this methodology to fill the gap between existing services like Physical Therapy, athletic training, personal training, and chiropractic care. I saw the need to unite these disciplines while ensuring each expert can stay in their lane. In this episode, I'll explain how our whole-body testing and treatment program helps break that deconditioning cycle, enabling our clients to regain strength, flexibility, and confidence.
